Who we are

Flolio is an educational tool that backtests rules-based investing strategies on historical data. Company registration is in progress; this notice will be updated with our full legal identity and registered address once finalised. Until then you can reach us at [email protected], which is also our contact point for any data-protection question. Flolio is the data controller for the personal data described below.

What we collect

During this pre-launch period the only personal data we collect directly is what you give us through the waitlist form:

  • Your first name
  • Your email address
  • An optional “what describes you best?” selection

We do not run advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not build a profile of you or sell your data.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your waitlist details solely to contact you about early access and launch. Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time (see “Your rights”).

Service providers and third parties

We rely on a small number of providers to run the site:

  • Cloudflare — hosts the site (Cloudflare Pages) and provides the Turnstile anti-bot check on the waitlist form.
  • ipapi.co — when the site loads, your browser makes a request to ipapi.co to detect your country so we can show prices in your local currency. This discloses your IP address to that provider. The result is stored only in your browser.
  • Flolio backend (api.flolio.co) — stores waitlist submissions and supplies exchange rates.

Information stored on your device

We store two small preference values in your browser’s local storage — geo_currency and manual_currency_override — to remember your currency choice. These are preferences, not tracking, and you can clear them through your browser at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist details until launch and for a reasonable period afterwards, or until you ask us to delete them — whichever is sooner.

Your rights

Under UK data-protection law you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • withdraw your consent at any time;
  • complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

To exercise any of these, email [email protected].

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product develops. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent change.
